Week 3

This week we were given four words to chose from to create a theme/ mood board those words were Classical, Surreal, Spice and Rococo/ Tutti Frutti. I was immediately drawn to tutti frutti because it seemed like the most fun! We brainstormed all the words in small groups so that we could get a better understanding of the words and share our ideas! They were intersting words as they were all very different and we came up with alot more ideas for the first four words but I still wanted to go with Tutti Frutti because I had a visual image of bright colours and glamerous images and I thought its would be the best word to kind of express images that I like even though I should have probably gone for a word that I wasnt drawn to straight away to see what I could come up with! The Beginning..

My first couple of weeks into our fashion course have been very much just sort of settling in lots of inductions and just getting to know our group which has been cool! At the start of the Second week we were asked to bring in our holiday projects. I based mine on Paris as a starting point as I had been there in the Summer so I had visited alot of my favourite designer shops/ boutiques so I was able to incorporate some of their work into my sketchbook. I had lots of fun sightseeing also so my book was mix of the things I had seen and i had collected bits of information and images along my trip! I wanted my book to kind of express a bit of my personality at the same time and it was good because we left our work out for everyone in the class to go round an look at and im glad mine came across like that as my book was very vibrant and colourful!
